One of the most frustrating things about unsolved cases is when there seems to be one particular piece of evidence that should have provided the answer, but somehow it never did.
It might be CCTV footage that doesn't quite show enough, DNA that has never produced a match, an unidentified fingerprint, a mysterious phone call or even an item found at the scene that nobody has ever been able to properly explain.
There are also cases where witnesses reported seeing someone or something unusual shortly before a person disappeared, yet decades later we still don't know whether that sighting was important or completely unrelated.
For me, these little unanswered details can sometimes be more intriguing than the bigger mystery itself. You find yourself thinking that if investigators could solve just that one part of the puzzle, perhaps everything else would finally fall into place.
Is there a particular piece of evidence from an unsolved case that has always bothered or fascinated you? What is it, and do you think it could eventually be the thing that solves the case?
