On 31 March 2006, 27-year-old medical student Brian Shaffer went out with friends in Columbus, Ohio. During the night they visited the Ugly Tuna Saloona, a bar located inside a shopping complex. CCTV captured Brian outside the bar talking to two women shortly before closing time, but after that he seemingly vanished. Investigators reviewed surveillance footage from the exits but could not find clear footage showing Brian leaving. His phone later went straight to voicemail and there has been no confirmed sighting of him since. Over the years there have been theories that Brian somehow left through an area not properly covered by cameras, that he deliberately disappeared, or that somebody else was involved. His bank accounts and other known finances reportedly showed no activity that gave investigators an obvious trail. Nearly two decades later, the question remains remarkably simple: where did Brian go after he was last seen on CCTV?
