Stephanie Howell the Scammer

I came across her when she appeared on my Facebook feed back in December. She has told that many lies that I can't keep up.

To cut a long story short, she claims that she was homeless and lived in a hotel with her 4 kids, she had custody of 3 of them and one was living elsewhere (I think the Godmother) There are some Facebook pages that cover her and they really do some digging on her and mostly they're right.

Anyway, she is constantly begging saying she has no money and expects the internet to pay for everything. she now has a home and still asks for money, She is from South Carolina, she was arrested last month for stealing a Uhaul.

Well, If anyone has been following this scammer then she has hit a new low, the other night she claimed that her 8 year old daughter was badly injured in a car accident and that she might not make it. Yesterday she admitted that it did not happen, she just wanted $100 to a taxi, she now claims she is stuck wherever she is and needs money to get back home. Honestly I have watched all this since December and she must have conned people out of thousands of dollars.

Update: Stephanie Howell Arrested on False Pretenses and Stolen Vehicle Charges​

There has been a further development involving Stephanie Anne Howell in South Carolina.
According to a Richland County arrest record dated 7 August 2026, Howell was booked on two charges of obtaining property or a signature under false pretenses involving amounts under $2,000, along with a charge relating to possessing, selling or disposing of a stolen vehicle valued at more than $10,000.
At this stage these remain allegations, and an arrest does not mean that a person has been convicted.
I have not yet found a confirmed later court result showing how these charges have been resolved.
It will be interesting to see whether these charges progress to court and whether any further details emerge about the alleged offences.
