A major search is continuing in Brantham, Suffolk, for three-year-old Noah Woods, who disappeared on Tuesday afternoon after becoming separated from a relative near a playground in Merriam Close. Suffolk Police say Noah was last seen at around 3pm on 15 September and is believed to have run down an alleyway beside the playground towards a nearby new-build housing estate.
Noah is described as white with curly ginger hair. He was wearing a white Bluey T-shirt, shorts and black Vans trainers with a white stripe. Police have also said Noah is non-verbal, partially deaf and autistic, meaning he may not respond if someone calls his name.
The search has involved police officers, firefighters, Coastguard teams, helicopters, search dogs and large numbers of volunteers. Officers have been carrying out door-to-door enquiries and have asked residents to check gardens, sheds, garages and other outbuildings. People in the area are also being urged to review CCTV, doorbell cameras and dashcam footage from Tuesday afternoon.
Police say there is currently no evidence of foul play, and the case is being treated as a missing-person investigation. Specialist teams have been searching areas including woodland and water while members of the public have been asked to coordinate their efforts with police rather than entering potentially dangerous areas independently.
